How it works Footway Fortress is delivered in 150 mm deep ring sections and gives installers the ability to install chambers quickly and cost-effectively. At the same time, this means improved building quality, reduced defects and improved safety on site. Stack each section one on top of each other to reach desired depth. Each ring section weighs under 25 kg, making it suitable for a single person lift under manual handling regulations. |
Quick, easy and flexible installation Footway Fortress are significantly faster to install than conventional alternatives, with complete installation typically taking up to one hour. The lightweight material making it suitable for a single person lift. This results in reduced cost for the installer. No special equipment requires in order to install the chamber. |
Smart construction Footway Fortress is manufactured by injection molding of nitrogen gas foamed HDPE, of which up to 70% is recycled material. The chamber has excellent strength in relation to its weight. The sections can be delivered in 'flat pack' format, making shipping more efficient. It also increases the possibility of flexibility in delivery and installation. Footway Fortress have smooth outer walls to to impact the effectiveness of compaction. |
Easy to adapt to current conditions The chamber can be customized to fit existing conditions on-site using standard tools, for example for superstructure over existing networks, holes for pipes and cable insertion, and fine tuning in the top section. |
